Thank you C. V. Srinivasan. Have you any historical case about 316 X CHLOROBENZENE? As you know, chlorobenzene is insoluble in water, but he can suffer decomposition on carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, hidrogen chloride and phosgene. Which conditions this can occur? The pitting corrosion on 316 stainless stell is due HCl? Can you send me more detailed information?Thank you D. O. Passos |

Dear Sirs:Corrosionsource Material/database indicate "Chlorobenzene has Minor effect ( slight corrosion or descoloration ) on 316 stainless steel". NACE Corrosion Data Book indicate pitting corrosion and SCC on 316 stainless steel with chlorobenzene. Can Someone explain best this aplication "316 stainless steel vs chlorobenzene" ? Thank you very much . D. O. Passos
