I would like to help you. First I need to have more information. If the parts are being stored in the open, that is one thing, but if they are in a "dry" environment that may mean something else. Give me more information about the use of the parts and how they are being stored before use. Perhaps I can help you.

I market corrosion inhibitors exclusive to me and would be interested in your testing.Terry Laing

There is realy no generic standardized inhibitor test. However, you can use the basics in ASTM G31 for immersion testing.ASTM G1.05 (Laboratory corrosion testing) is starting a new standardization activity directed at inhibitor testing. Hopefully the first meeting will be in May 1998 in Atlanta. If you are interested, I am starting a mailing list of people interested in participation. Regards, Dr. R.D. Ka
