My interest is carbon-carbons. So I was disappointed
to find conclusions drawn without an adequate
description of the materials tested (c-c type, coating
type, etc.).

As a way of publicizing your new test
method, the paper probably is adequate - however, I do
have some questions:

a. diameter of tube
b. a cross-section view thru the specimen holder would
be useful (showing thermocouple location, etc)
c. is the gas flowing or static? rates? max gas
pressure?
d. any lengthwise temp gradients within each zone?
e. what matls are the tube and the specmn holders?
f. I don't see a crossmember assy in Fig 2.

Generally, I like the concept of allowing online
access to the paper and the ability to comment on it.
