Pitting of Monel 400 (UNS NO400)

We have conducted many tests on monel 400 in both natural and salt solutions of NaCl to study the susceptibility of this alloy to pitting corrosion. We didnot observe any pitting under free corrosion potentials. Howver, when the alloy is anodically polarized pitting was observed.Did you encounter similar behavior with your alloy? Thanks.
