Periodic Table: This state-of-the-art periodic table details properties of periods, groups, and individual elements. It also describes the periodic law, electron orbits, shells and provides a quiz to test your knowledge.

Corrosion Problem Solver: CPS is an advisory tool that provides assistance in the identification of the root cause of common corrosion problems. It also provides basic remedial action that can be taken immediately which should mitigate or at least reduce the severity of the problem.

Constant Load/Deflection Tests: This testing method describes one of the most common and straight forward methods utilized in environmentally assisted cracking (EAC) tests.

Fracture Mechanics Tests: Fracture mechanics testing techniques are typically utilized for evaluation of the effects of metallurgical or environmental variables on EAC where the specimen contains a sharp crack

Hydrogen Embrittlement: This section describes effects of hydrogen on mechanical performance of materials.

Liquid Metal Embrittlement: This section describes effects of liquid metal contact on certain materials.

Stress Corrosion Cracking: Stress corrosion cracking (SCC) is the formation of brittle cracks in a normally sound material through the simultaneous action of a tensile stress and a corrosive environment.

Stress Corrosion Testing: The study of environmentally assisted cracking (EAC) in its most basic sense involving the consideration and evaluation of the inherent compatibility between a material and the environment under conditions of either applied or residual stress.

Slow Strain Rate Testing: A modification of the constant load tension test in which the constant load has been replaced by a slow extension of the specimen until failure. The benefit of SSR testing is that it produces a result in a reasonably short time, and also reduces incubation time to the onset of cracking in susceptible materials through the application of the dynamic plastic straining.

Glossary: Extensive glossary of corrosion and materials related terms. Provides an alphabetical index for searching the glossary.

Galvanic Series: Galvanic series of alloys listed in the order of the potential they exhibit in flowing sea water.

Hardness Conversion Table: Material hardness conversion table for Brinell, Rockwell, Vickers hardness numbers.
