The Corrosionsource.com CPS system provides assistance in the
identification of the root cause of common corrosion problems
through information obtained from simple visual examination of
the corroding components or equipment. It also provides basic
remedial action that can be taken immediately which should
mitigate or at least reduce the severity of the problem.
CPS is advisory in nature and is not meant to replace sound
engineering judgment on the part of the user. CPS is intended to
be a tool to assist the corrosion engineer in the following
areas:
- identification of the nature of the corrosion problem.
- remedial actions that can be applied.
