Dr. Kane is founder of and currently senior consultant with InterCorr International, Inc. He is an internationally recognized corrosion and materials consultant to major clients in the petroleum, petrochemical and other industry sectors. He specializes in materials evaluation, selection and specification, corrosion prediction and monitoring, system design and failure analysis. Dr. Kane is experienced in the use of steels, stainless steels and other corrosion resistant materials as well as the use of inhibitors and chemical treatments.

Dr. Kane is active in NACE, ASM and ASTM. For NACE, he has served on numerous NACE technical and standing committees, its Board of Directors and Executive Committee. Dr. Kane has published over 180 technical papers, five books on corrosion topics, lectured internationally and has organized and served as chairman for many technical symposia. He has also contributed to what is now the most comprehensive and active corrosion resource site - www.CorrosionSource.com

Prior to InterCorr, Dr. Kane was on the staff of Battelle Memorial Institute and Exxon Production Research Company. Dr. Kane received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Metallurgy and Materials Science from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
