6.0 Features and Benefits The Socrates 6.0 system
represents a significant and comprehensive revision of the earlier
versions of the most popular material selection program in the oil
industry. In addition to a completely re-designed user interface,
Socrates 6.0 contains significant new data on state-of-the-art CRA
materials (such as Super and Hyper 13 Cr, newer Duplex and Nickel alloys
etc.) as well as a host of new features for efficient and effective
automated material selection.

Socrates 6.0 has been designed from
the ground up to be Y2K compliant and is made available with the
guarantee that no aspect of program functionality will be affected by
date related issues either prior to, during or after the year 2000.
It is strongly recommended that all
users with previous versions of Socrates (which were not designed to
be Y2K compliant) upgrade to version 6.0, since the new version
provides a host of new features, data, as well as improved material
selection and overall system functionality.
