Vessel heads play an important part in the pressel vessel industrie as well as technically as commercially.

Especially when the the reflected material is duplex en superduplex.

When producing vessel heads several parameters play a key roll in the final results.

These parameters are:

– Base plate

– Welding

– Forming

– Heattreatment

– Testing

In this paper we will present some research we have done and also some conclusions we have made.

However the more answers we find, the more sophisticated questions we encounter.

Hopefully this paper will increase the insight in producing DSS and SDSS vessel heads.
